Kitchen Underfloor Heating

kitchen

Your kitchen is the heart of your home. More and more modern design is focusing the whole house around the kitchen – with open plan kitchen diners, living rooms and conservatories. No matter what your house is like, your kitchen should be warm and welcoming at all times, not just when you’re making the coffee, half asleep in the morning! In the past heating has been a second thought, people thought the kitchen would gain heat from the rest of the house, or the cooker(!) and there was no space for it amongst the appliances and cupboards. Underfloor heating solves these issues. No need to think about where the radiator goes and no need to put on your slippers before you brave the kettle in the morning.

Bathroom Underfloor Heating

Underfloor heating is perfect for bathrooms. What could be better than rolling out of bed and having your feet meet with lovely warmth under your feet rather cold bathroom tiles? Radiators just aren’t up to the job of getting your day off to the right start, especially on those cold UK winter mornings. Underfloor heating can make a dull day start that little bit more happily. It’s not all about warmth and happiness, although we’d like it to be. There are very practical reasons why underfloor heating is great for bathrooms. Firstly an underfloor system will help dry the floor and room more rapidly and effectively, reducing slippery floors and the chance of damp developing. Secondly, bathrooms are often some of the smallest rooms in the house, space is very valuable – why waste it with a radiator (even if you want to hang you towel on it!) – underfloor heating can make deciding where the sink, bath, shower and toilet go all the more easier.

Conservatory Underfloor Heating

If you have a conservatory, when would you like to use it? Only in Spring and Summer when its warm enough, or also in those beautiful but chilly Autumn months when you can watch the leaves fall from the trees, and in those cold winter days when Jack Frost has left your garden with a layer of sparkling frost and the light is hard to resist? Without underfloor heating you’ll be forced to abandon your conservatory in the Autumn and Winter – radiators just don’t have what it takes to make a conservatory comfortable at these times of year. Underfloor heating provides radiant heat that will heat the whole room evenly and will reduce condensation. It can be used with all floor types and you won’t need to worry about where to put the radiators, which is often a real issue in some conservatory designs.
