Profoil Underfloor Heating Design

design-service

Our Profoil™ underfloor heating design service is the result of many years experience in working to provide our customers with a high level of customer care during the initial phases of deciding how they need their system installed and the producing schematics which deliver maximum efficency.

We use Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology to make the transition from planning to instalment simple. Your property floor plan or building plans are digitally superimposed into the CAD design models. This stage identifies how the Profoil™ panels will fit smoothly together onto the floors, walls or ceilings to direct the pipe layout. The customised CAD plan allows for the most efficient scheme for the pipes, giving you the optimal heat distribution for comfort and energy saving. You will be able to see where the pipes would flow, where the water enters and other integral heating design components will be located clearly.

Our plans are intended to be understood by both domestic property residents and professionals alike. This aims to give everyone confidence both during the planning and throughout the installation phase. You can always have a clear understanding of how and where the work will be carried out and for what purpose.

Heating Schematics

When you receive your design schematic, it will be a clear plan of where all the components of the underfloor heating system would be installed in the property. The schematics, which are tailored to the type of application you are using (floor on floor, screed, dry screed, between timber joists) show clearly how the Profoil insulation panels fit together to allow the pipes to flow effectively through the area to deliver the maximum even distribution of heat in the most energy effect way. You can see clearly where the manifold will be housed, the device connecting the boiler and the valves controlling the water pipes.

Each room has a circuit responsible for the water pipes there, connected to a thermostat which in turs connects to an electronically managed valve on the manifold. The design schematic will show all the circuit numbers and zone controls to allow you to practice energy efficient zoning of the temperature in the property. Zoning means controlling when a room or place receives heat and when it doesn’t, meaning you can save both energy and running costs.
