Installing Underfloor Heating

installation

Profoil is designed to be in installed in a number of ways. It can routinely be done by a qualified plumber or building contractor. Self builders will be pleased to know that the Profoil installation is designed to be a relatively simple process, particularly in comparison to central heating systems. This means you can often handle the vast majority of the installation of the pipe layout, keeping costs down. Attaching the manifold could also be possible but you may require a little professional assistance at this stage from a qualified plumber.

The system is adaptable without extra expense to many different types of property, including older and poorly insulated buildings and refurbished properties. The types of flooring are also not a barrier in any way. Profoil can be fitted between timber joists, or as a floor on floor system with screeded sub floor and timber finish, or timber sub floor and timber finish. It can also be located in the screed if required.

Although it’s called underfloor heating, FloRad heating systems can actually be incorporated into walls or ceilings as well as floors. High ceilings are not a concern here, as the system is uniquely able to provide day to day effective heating and fuel savings for such properties.
