Profoil™

Profoil™ was developed by FloRad engineers and is available exclusively from FloRad. Its unique design provides many advantages over other underfloor heating systems and has made it by far our most popular product. Essentially four products in one, Profoil™ combines an insulation base with a flexible reflective surface which can be used for either heating or cooling.

Profoil Plus™

We are excited to introduce our newest product, Profoil™ Plus. Much like the original Profoil™, Profoil™ Plus is an all in one underfloor heating solution. ProFoil™ Plus can be custom manufactured to meet your specific underfloor heating needs. It can be produced in varying thicknesses as well as to suiting most pipe bore sizes. ProFoil™ Plus can be installed in most types of floor construction and can be specified as a standard insulation detail to meet current building regulations. It can also be used in ceilings and walls and in cooling systems.

Profix™

Profix™ Insulation Panels have been developed specifically for use with sand / cement screeded floors and liquid flow screeds incorporating warm water underfloor heating systems. Profix™ Insulation Panels comprise a rigid thermal insulation material with either a Cross-Woven Aluminium Foil (Profix™ E), or a High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Woven Split Film printed with a grid pattern (Profix™ S), laminated to the upper surface, providing a robust method of fixing the continuous pipe work to the insulation using specially designed “U” shaped plastic staples secured into the insulation panel by means of a purpose made fixing tool. The staples are securely retained by the laminate material preventing the pipe work from lifting during the screeding process. Profix™ Insulation Panels are available in a range of insulation types and thicknesses.

Dry Screed

Knauf Brio is a dry floor screed that is the perfect underlay, for the perfect floor in new buildings and refurbishments, in residential buildings and offices. Produced with Knauf’s state-of-the-art gypsum fibre technology, it is a single layer, precision engineered unit that provides real benefits over traditional wet screeds and timber dry decks. Because there is not the drying period associated with wet screed, people can walk on the screed as soon as the glue has dried. Brio starts at just 18mm thick making it perfect for refurbishing and minimising a height increases on the floor. Brio is very lightweight making it perfect for using on 1st and 2nd floors and reducing the weight impact on multi floored buildings. Brio's high thermal conductivity properties make it extremely efficient when used with underfloor heating and cooling systems. Changes in temperature are realised almost immediately as you do not have to wait for a large mass of cement to warm up. Brio makes it easy to realise a comfortable environment. Brio's exceptional thermal transmission properties mean it can even facilitate the use of underfloor cooling systems. No more dry, draughty, noisy air conditioning!

Continuous Polyethylene Flexible Pipe

FloRad uses durable, high quality continuous pipe for its underfloor systems. Qual-Pex TO BS7291 is a multi-layer extrusion. It consists of five layers including 2 layers of high density cross linked polyethylene, one layer of oxygen barrier and 2 layers of adhesive for a tight connection. Our continuous pipe is extremely durable and, when paired with quality insulation, is ideal to use in frost prone areas.
